01 · Your questions

Getting started

Can I apply from outside Delhi NCR?

Yes. Raahat coordinates online support for people across India. The programme operates from Delhi NCR, but living there is not a requirement for requesting online support.

Do I need a diagnosis to ask for help?

You do not need to have a diagnosis before requesting support. You can describe what has been difficult or what you would like help with in your own words. The team will review whether the programme is a suitable starting point.

02 · Your questions

Sessions & costs

Is therapy through Raahat free?

Your first sessions are free. Raahat begins with free therapy sessions: a limited number of sessions with no session fee for you, subject to matching and availability. If you choose to continue afterwards, the team can help you explore a sliding-scale fee. The number of free sessions and any ongoing fee are explained before you begin.

03 · Your questions

Finding a match

What happens after I request support?

The coordination team reviews your request and contacts you using the details you provide. They discuss your needs, language preferences and availability, then explore a suitable therapist or partner organisation. Matching depends on availability and the kind of support you need.

How soon will I be matched?

There is no guaranteed matching time. It depends on therapist availability, your preferences and the support required. The team will discuss the next steps with you. Raahat is not an emergency or crisis service.

Can I ask for a particular language or session time?

Yes. Share your language and scheduling preferences in your request. The team will consider them when exploring a match and explain what is currently available.

04 · Your questions

Privacy & comfort

Who can see the information I share?

Your request is reviewed by the authorised Raahat coordination team. Information needed for arranging care may be shared with your assigned therapist or partner organisation. Ask the team about information sharing, and discuss confidentiality and its limits with your therapist before sessions begin.

What if the therapist does not feel like a good fit?

Tell the coordination team if you are uncomfortable with a match or need a different arrangement. They can discuss your concerns and explore alternatives, subject to availability. You can also decide not to continue.

Something else on your mind?

You can ask the coordination team about the programme before deciding to begin.
