For clients
A Guide to Your Therapy Journey
We’re glad you’re here. To make this experience as safe and effective as possible for everyone, please read the following.
1. Show Up on Time
Your session begins and ends at the scheduled time. Arriving late shortens your own session and may affect the therapist’s next client. Please log in or arrive a few minutes early so you’re settled and ready.
2. Respect Your Therapist's Time
Your therapist volunteers their time to support you. Missing a session without notice means that slot (which could have gone to someone else on the waitlist) goes unused. Please treat your appointments with the same commitment you would expect from your therapist.
3. Rescheduling and Cancellations
If you need to reschedule or cancel, please inform your therapist at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations (under 24 hours) or no-shows may result in the paid session amount not being adjusted or refunded, subject to your therapist’s or clinic’s specific policy.
If something urgent comes up, reach out as early as possible — your therapist will always appreciate the communication.
4. Availability and Communication
If you are going through a busy period and need to pause sessions, please inform your therapist so they can plan accordingly and free up the slot for someone who may need it urgently. Raahat operates with limited therapist availability and serves many people in need.
Repeated unresponsiveness (missing sessions, not responding to scheduling messages, or going silent without notice) may result in your slot in Raahat being reallocated to another person on the waitlist.
5. Respect Boundaries
The client-therapist relationship is a professional one. Please:
- Contact your therapist only through the channel designated by Raahat (email or the platform used to schedule sessions).
- Do not attempt to contact your therapist on personal phone numbers, social media, or outside scheduled session hours.
- Treat your therapist with courtesy and respect. Abusive, harassing, or inappropriate behaviour will result in immediate termination of sessions.
- Do not record sessions without your therapist’s explicit written consent.
6. Confidentiality
Everything discussed in your sessions is confidential. Your therapist will not share details of your sessions with Raahat, your family, or any third party, except in situations where there is a serious and imminent risk to your safety or the safety of others, as required by professional and legal obligations.
We ask that you extend the same respect: please do not share identifiable information about your therapist publicly.
Taking this step took courage. We’re here to support you every step of the way.
